Sourcing Optimization in tandem with SAP Ariba

Colombian food manufacturer Grupo Nutresa had a global supply chain crossing five continents, and they recognized a need to modernize their global sourcing strategy to uncover new savings using tools that could better support a range of spend categories. Adoption was an issue as some team members felt that RFQs could be performed better using legacy tools and spreadsheets.

Grupo Nutresa aimed to achieve faster negotiation times and maximize savings along the supply chain for a range of complex categories. They wanted to increase savings, prevent value leakage, and increase process efficiency across their spend. By optimizing their flexible plastic spend, the customer saw initial savings of 20-25% and has continued to generate savings between 10-15% in this category by leveraging Keelvar’s Sourcing Optimizer for various events.
